More About me...

Outside of her professional endeavors, Teshera builds community and makes connections as a board member on the Hyde Park Youth Symphony. This organization brings together diverse students from the south side of Chicago and beyond to provide a high-quality orchestral performance experience and education as a training ground for the next generation of performers, educators, and advocates of music and the arts. Teshera strives to be a voice to the voiceless. In 2018, she was elected and served as a Parent Representative on the Local School Council for Chicago Public Schools.
A lifelong learner, Teshera is a first-generation college graduate. In 2019, she earned a Master of Science in Communication from Northwestern University. Prior to that, Teshera earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Pepperdine University, graduating with magna cum laude honors. As an undergraduate, she studied abroad earning international business certificates at the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology in China and Austral Universidad in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Teshera is a lifetime member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, an award only bestowed upon the top 10% of business school graduates from the top 5% of business programs worldwide. Her outstanding academic record earned her lifetime membership to the Golden Key International Honor Society which recognizes the top 15% of college and university students.

Teshera cherishes the time she spends with her two daughters, extended family and friends. She loves to travel and attend festivals and concerts. Personally, Teshera enjoys pilates, swimming and bike riding.
